(Closed) Osaka: Morning Coffee at Honolulu Coffee (ホノルルコーヒー道頓堀店) Along Dotonbori

OSAKA

Taking a walk along Dotonbori in the morning is really enjoyable because it’s calm, unlike the bustling daytime atmosphere. As you may know, the Dotonbori area is always packed with people, and there’s hardly any space between the buildings.

By the way, I found a white house that doesn’t quite fit the Dotonbori view. It’s next to Bikkuri Donki…

Honolulu Coffee ! I got closer to it.

Honolulu Coffee—I heard this branch is still new, and they open early in the morning. So, when I arrived, they were already open, and I took a coffee break while walking.

Pancakes are available from morning, but they’re a bit heavy for me as a breakfast choice.

I hadn’t eaten anything since waking up, so I decided to grab a macadamia nuts-flavored coffee and a malasada.

First, I started with the coffee. A hot malasada was brought to me shortly after. Water was free. The malasada was soft and delicious, and the coffee was amazing as well. The macadamia flavor was fantastic—I always order this when I visit Honolulu Coffee branches.

Macadamia nuts-flavored coffee (マカダミアナッツフレーバーコーヒー, 320 yen) ano marasada (マラサダ, 200 yen)

The cafe is divided into two areas: the indoor seating and the indoor terrace, which isn’t outside. This is the indoor terrace. Rays of light filtered in through the window, creating a wonderful atmosphere. It felt like a fresh morning in Hawaii.

It felt like I was in Hawaii! 🙂

Wow! But the view was still Dotonbori. It was fun to notice the difference between the inside and outside views.

Since it was still early in the morning, there were only a few people in the cafe, but when I passed by later during lunchtime, it was much busier.

Looks like the shop they have at the Moana Hotel in Waikiki.
