I want to go Tsukiji for breakfast at least once a week, but I can’t wake up early recently. I managed to wake up this morning to eat at Tenfusa (天房).
Though I didn’t feel like eating tempura, this menu attracted me.
Tenfusa is a tempura shop, but they serve good tuna sashimi because here’s a market. So, I always order tuna sashimi set.
Plenty of tuna. It might be bigeye tuna ?
The set have small portion of tempura. Thick sauce soaked into those tempura, so it went with rice very well.
And today’s my target. Young ayu. Ayu is sweet fish in English ? They are in river. Ayu is my delight.
I ate young ayu for the first time at Tenfusa a few years ago. I was impressed by the tastes. I eat it every season without fail since then. Those were too small, but those meats were soft. I love this bitterness and sweetness. I ate one with salt, and another with soy sauce seasonings. I like eating it with soy sauce seasonings.
Those pictures made me feel like eating it again …😋 This is a seasonal tempura, I’m afraid it might be already out of the menu. Ah, I have to go work tomorrow though I was on sick leave today. Umm. It’s mentally hard…
