I took a day off the other day and went to sushi restaurant in Omotesando area. Okeisushi (おけいすし) is so fancy restaurant and it cost us around 30000 yen at dinner time. But at lunchtime, they serve lunch course with 2800 yen. There are only counter seats. So we’d better reserve in advance.
We reserved lunch course in advance on phone, so as soon as we were seated, the salad was served.
Our course started with salad and shijimi clam soup. Those seaweed had crunchy texture.
Salmon roe dressed with wasabizuke. Wasabizuke is pickled Japanese Horseradish.
Sardine. It was lightly grilled. As you see, so fatty sardine. The fat reflects.
Marinated lean meat of tuna. This was the best in all foods that I had at this restaurant that day.
Minced sea bream and abalone innards. This is their specialty.
Sea urchin. It’s a little bitter… I don’t like it.
Shrimp was sweet and tasty. That’s good.
Boiled clam with sweet sauce. The flavor of shell was awesome.
Negitoro roll. Their tuna was good all the same.
Flatfish.
Last, miso soup was served. Simple. It had wakame seaweed.
This course was not bad, but they save money for serving at lunchtime at lower price than dinner time all the same. So, for enjoying Okeisushi’s adorable sushi, we have to visit there at dinner time. But 30000… Umm.
