Recently I don’t have enough time to visit Tsukiji so frequently. But there’s also good seafood restaurant in Funabashi within my living area. The restaurant’s name is Maguroichi (海旬 まぐろ市).
I know there used to be a Hawaiian merchandise shop. The Hawaiian goods shop closed down before I know, and Maguroichi opened. They are open lunch time and dinner time. I only visit at lunchtime. They are underground of the old building.
They have many Japanese sake. Shopkeeper showed me in the refrigerator. Sake, sake, sake… Well, this is the IZAKAYA. So, their main stage is dinner time.
There is one counter table and some tables. I took a seat at the counter table. The tea is free to take.
They serve sashimi bowl only at lunchtime. I wanted to know about three-colored sashimi bowl. So, I asked the staff. She answered that day’s sashimi is salmon, bigeye tuna and great amberjack. I like everything. So, I ordered it.
The staff serve only sashimi bowl. Guests have to take another dishes (miso soup, pickles and side dish) from back. So, we can enjoy such a good sashimi bowl at inexpensive price. Everything was fresh on the rice.
Side dish was skin of tuna seasoned with kimchi. I hadn’t eaten the skin of tuna. The texture was like a gelatin. I realized anew that I love fishes.
