[Taipei] Douhua at Sun Way Bean Pudding (杉味豆花)

TAIWAN

Sun Way Bean pudding (杉味豆花) moved close to Shuanlien station from 延三夜市 in 2018. I knew, but I didn’t know where they are correctly. I usually walk through in front of the shop when I go to Ningxia night market from the station. I wasn’t aware of that.

Menu. They don’t have shaved ice. Almond jelly, douhua (soymilk pudding), grean beans soup (summer), peanuts soup (summer), red beans soup (winter), baked grass jelly (winter) and so on. Almost all toppings cost 10 TWD each. And some cost 15 TWD like taro, sweet potato and so on.

Interior. They have historic atmosphere. But the room was renovated. So, it’s tidy. They have 20 seats or so.

Douhua and two toppings cost 60 TWD. OF course, you can have three or more toppings if you pay additional fee. I chose aiyu jelly and taro balls. They asked me about ice. Of course, I needed ice because it was hot weather.

Woow. Fluffy douhua ! It have strong tastes of beans. The syrup wasn’t too sweet. Good. By the way, their douhua is loved by people because it have the light burnt smell. But I couldn’t find the smell at all.

Aiyu jelly. I love this jelly.

And taro balls. It’s springy and springy. This springy texture is called “QQ” in Taiwanese. Yes, it’s QQ ! They have long history. I agree with their high reputation for decades.
