[Hakata] Shrimp kakiage udon and kashiwa gohan at Hagakure Udon (葉隠うどん)

FUKUOKA

Hagakure udon (葉隠うどん) was my longing udon shop and finally, I could go there. I dropped in at Hakata on my way to Saga from Nagoya only for Hagakure ! Only for Hagakure !

I got to Hakata airport one hour before the closing time. I gave up a bit, but I went straight to there. I made it ! About 20 people followed after me. Wow. They were born in 1968. They have cozy atmosphere. There’re counter seats mainly and also they have tatami area. I could see that they cook udon in front of me along counter table.

This is the menu. kake udon is only 400 yen ! They have English and Chinese menu, too.

I ordered shrimp kakiage udon and kashiwa gohan.

At first, this is udon. It have three small shrimps with its head and tail. When this bowl was served, soup already soaked into the kakiage and kakiage got soft like this. I like this. Also it have much green onion. The amount of udon is not much. If you want to eat much, you can have large helping, but I recommend you have second helping of udon💜

Shrimp kakiage udon (えびかき揚げ) 500 yen

Their udon is flat and so soft. Ah, I love this udon ! Though it’s very soft, it had springy texture. I haven’t eaten such a udon ! Though the soup is light, it had abundant extract of konbu seaweed and dried bonito.

And this is kashiwa gohan. Chicken is often called “Kashiwa”. Yes. It’s chicken rice. Not only chicken but also it have vegetables like carrot, bamboo shoot and so on. Ah, it’s really good. It had plenty of extract of dried bonito, konbu seaweed, chicken and another vegetables. And something occured me while eating💡

Kashiwa gohan (かしわごはん) 200 yen

I put some soup and pepper. Yes. I made ochazuke ! It’s really delicious ! If you go there, it’s MUST !
