When I walked toward Nippon Budokan from Iidabashi station, I found one outstanding shop. This. TOKYO SUNFLOWER IIDABASHI. They are not surfing shop. They are Sanuki udon shop. Well, do you think their appearance is really similar to Tokyo Light Blue Hongo 3 (former Kokuwagata) ? I thought so. I was sure that they are family member of Tokyo Light Blue. That’s true. They are 2nd shop of Tokyo Light Blue. The manager worked at Oniyanma group. The world is small 🙂
They are stand-up-eating shop and offer udon at valuable price. It’s as same as Tokyo Light Blue and Oniyanma. There were many people eating in the shop, and also people visited one after another TO GO.
I couldn’t take the photo, but there’s a ticket vending machine at the entrance. And the most inexpensive udon is Hiyakake (cold udon with soup) and it cost 390 yen. Basically, they have shoyu (udon with soy sauce), bukkake (udon with soy sauce based soup), and kake (udon with soup). And another they have many toppings like tempura. And also they have limited tempura and udon.
There’re counter tables only inthe shop. There’re partitions on the tables.
I ordered bukkake udon and onsen tamago. Onsen tamago is half-cooked egg. I love it. It’s necessity for me when I eat udon. It cost me 530 yen in total. It’s really valuable. The amount of the noodles was 240 g. It’s large for me, so I visited there with empty stomach 🙂 The cold soup had refreshing tastes. And it had much sesame.
The udon is really springy. It filled in my stomach. But I could ea it up with easily because it had refreshing tastes with much green onion and grated ginger. Tokyo is still hot, so such a clean and refreshing tastes make cool our body !
I ordered beer, too. The tumbler was in the freezer, so it’s freezing cold !
And they served chicken tempura to me without charge. Though they don’t say in official, many people who ordered alcoholic drinks get one tempura without charge. I was glad because I wanted to eat it, but I gave up because I thought I can’t eat up. Its coating was crisp. And its inside was juicy. It was delicious ! I could eat it up with easily because the amout is not large.
