I had lunch at Rhino (ライノ) in Monzen-Nakacho by myself the other day. Monzen-Nakacho have many Indian foods restaurant. Rhino have started their business since last year. My friend said that the naan was so tasty, So, I tried going there. Rhino also serve Nepali foods.
I got to there around 14 pm, so there was only one guest in the restaurant. They have lunch menus until 3 p.m. They offer free refills of naan and rice. I don’t need though :p
I ordered a ladies’ set. It have two curries, naan, rice, salads, chicken tikka, dessert and drink. The naan was very huge.
Salads. Those vegetables were dressed with red sauce. It seems hot. But actually it was not hot. The sauce was peanuts sauce.
And my drink. Lassie.
Chicken curry and seafoods curry. All curries can be chosen from 5 levels of spiciness. At first, I ordered my curries “Extremely hot” (most hot). But the the waitress who have big eyes said to me, “Very very Hot!!!” with wide open eyes. So, I flinched and changed my order from “Very hot” (second hottest). Umm. I should have ordered those curry with extremely hot all the same. Those are not spicy at all. But it’s good. I could eat huge naan up with those curries with easily. This naan is the best naan that I recently have eaten naans at some restaurants. Soft and springy.
Chicken tikka was spicy and tasty.

If you’re wanting a recommendation for katsu (not high-end, but blue-collar goodness) in Monzen-nakacho, I could try to find an “address.” I lived in that part of town for a bit, and although Akafudado was a common stop for eats, the katsu place was worth going back to.
Wow, you once lived in Monzen-nakacho? Akafudado is well known to us. But I’m sorry that I can’t understand your saying “katsu”. Is this means ton”katsu” or any eating place ?
