I had soba lunch at Ginnan (手打ち蕎麦 銀杏) in Nishi-Ojima with my friend. They are located in the residential area. Ginnan means gingko. The restaurant stands on a calm street. They don’t look like soba restaurant. Nevertheless it was just after the opening, most of seats were already occupied.
We ate some foods before soba. At first, tamagoyaki was served. Tamagoyaki is very popular food at soba restaurant. I expected it’s dashimaki (having soup stock), but it didn’t have. It’s normal tamagoyaki. But it’s good. It’s sweet.
And sobagaki. When I visit soba restaurant with someone, I order sobagaki without fail. Sobagaki is mochi made of soba powder. I love it. The soup is sobayu (broth or boiled soba). And those small things on the sobagaki is buckwheat seeds.
And my Seiro was served. Seiro is simple soba. Soba and soup (Tsuyu = つゆ). That’s all.
So we can feel the flavor and tastes of soba directly.
Good. This soba is thin and soft. I like it.
And my friend order it. Oyster seiro. Because it’s Autumn, carrots were shaped maple leaves 🙂
The soup had much extracts of oysters. It’s good, too. But I like normal seiro better than it because the strong soup was prevented from feeling the flavor of soba.
Sobayu (broth of boiled soba) after our meal. It’s not strong, so it’s easy to drink. We were relieved after meal
