My friend asked me to join dinner at Yamadaya (やまだや) in Tsukiji again.So, I went to there excitedly. This was the seventh visits for me. It was just time for female crab !
At first, boiled yellowtail and daikon radish with soy sauce (Buri daikon) was served included in cover charge. I think they served it three times in a row. The soup stock is very good. I always drink it up.
My drink was plum liquor. Prucia. I drunk is on the rocks last time. And I tried it with soda this time.
Smoked sawara. Sawara is Spanish mackerel in Japanese. The flavor of smoke was just for me.
Sashimi. We chose young tuna, tilefish, vinegared mackerel and yellowtail. Gorgeous ! Young tuna was the best in the dish 😀 So fatty.
Simmered Shogo-in kabura radish with miso sauce. Probably, this was the first time to eat Shogo-in Kabura. It’s one of Kyo-yasai (Kyoto vegetables).
Dumpling. It have soft roe in it.
This is the source for soft roe gyoza… But I didn’t use it because the soft roe gyoza was enough good without the sauce.
High quality seikogani. Now is the best season of seikogani (Seikokani / Sekokani). Seikogani is female crab caught in this season. Needless to say, it was good !
Kakifurai. Deep fried oysters. I hadn’t seen such a huge deep fried oyster !!!! One deep fried oyster had two big oysters ! Incredible !
Scallops cream croquette. This is their signature food.
It’s a section of the croquette. Some pieces of scallops were in it.
Karaage. This meat is dark meat of Iyo Suigun-dori chicken. My friend who sat next to me ordered rice and eat with karaage. I wanted to do so if I had big stomach like him. Karaage go with rice well 🙂
Today’s rice cooked in a earthenware pot. Ingredient is changed by season. Of course, it had seikogani that day !
Many eggs and meat !!!
And the miso soup.
We enjoyed good foods at Yamadaya that time, too !
