I went to the charity event that we can eat fancy French restaurants’ special curry for only 1000 yen. The event is held twice a year after Great East Japan Earthquake 2011.
That time, three fancy French restaurant, Chez Inno in Kyobashi, Le crin in Ginza and Apicius in Yurakucho participated the event. All restaurants are so famous high-class restaurants. And I had had never been there.
They serve special curries that they produce only for the event. We can’t eat those curries again. It’s special. All restaurants usually never serve curry. At first, we went to Chez Inno (シェ・イノ).
We don’t have to reserve, no ticket, no dress code. People go to the restaurants directly and stand in the line. And they pay 1000 yen in the restaurant. Simple and clear system. When I got to there, there were already about 300 people waiting. Very very long line ! Not a line, it was a large mass ! By the way, they cooked 500 curries that day.
We waited for about 2 hours. After two hours waiting, we were finally in front of the entrance !
Interior. They are fancy restaurant, but there were no fancy atmosphere that day only.
Chez Inno served chicken curry. Spicy curry with caramelized baked Date-dori chicken. Date-dori chicken is grown in Date (Da-te) of Fukushima. It have coriander on it. As its name, it’s rather spicy.
And the chicken was so juicy.
Section of the chicken. This curry is more demiglace sauce than curry. Spicy demiglace sauce. Delicious.
The event will be held May next time. I’ll go again without fail.
