There are many Chinese restaurants in the area serving shark fin dishes, but at Koseiwa (公生和), you can easily enjoy shark fin soup and shark fin buns. Koseiwa is actually the birthplace of shark fin buns. The man standing at the entrance is Fukahire Man (フカヒレマン) !
This is the menu. They offer not only shark fin dishes but also vermicelli, Chinese zongzi, castella, and more.
There’s a cashier at the entrance.
The shop has some depth to it, and they also sell buns and other souvenirs. There’s an eating area at the back of the shop.
Fukahire Man is also located at the back of the shop. You can take a photo with him!
As I mentioned, Koseiwa is the origin of shark fin buns, and they offer a variety of flavors. However, I didn’t have enough room to enjoy a bun and wanted to try something else at a different shop. So, I ordered shark fin soup plus fried rice cake.
It had a generous amount of fried rice cake! The crispy rice cake paired well with the thick soup.
There were only a few pieces of shark fin, but the soup also contained bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and a bit of pepper. It was delicious as a soup.
Thank you, Fukahire Man!
