I thought Toyosu is too far from my office to visit at lunchtime during work.
But one day I tried. And I found it’s not too far. (Of course, it’s far…:p)
I visit Toyosu for lunch during work frequently since then.
Today, I introduce you to my favorite 3 restaurants for lunch.
Well, it’s Toyosu area. Not Toyosu Market.
It’s quite distant between Toyosu and Toyosu Market.
Yakitori Miyagawa Toyosu branch (karaage)
There’s a branch of a long-established yakitori restaurant named Yakitori Miyagawa (やきとり宮川) on the ground floor of Toyosu Foresia. Lunch hour is on weekdays only. From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They serve chicken nanban, Kiji-yaki (grilled chicken) and so on.
But White karaage set (白いからあげ定食, 1000 yen) is far the most popular. It have breast meat and leg meat. Both is juicy. Small curry or tororo (grated yum) is included in the set. Also you can have both like this picture. The curry is rather mild but it is spicy a bit. It go with karaage as sauce 🙂
Shii ran Toyosu branch (mapo tofu)
Chii ran (芝蘭) is also on the ground floor of Toyosu Foresia. They are Sichuan foods restaurant. Lunch hour is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They serve spicy Sichuan foods like Sichuan mapo tofu, tantanmen and so on. Of course, they serve not spicy foods, too.
Normal Mapo tofu set (麻婆豆腐セット, 1000 yen) is not so spicy. I love very spicy foods, so, I always order Sichuan mapo tofu having much Sichuan pepper (本格四川山椒入り麻婆豆腐) with extra 200 yen. And if you want more spicy, you can order Special spicy mapo tofu with another 200 yen. (so, Special one cost you 1400 yen…)
Ajidokoro Ichimura (beef cutlet)
Ajidokoro Ichimura (味処いちむら) is a butcher shop. They sell meats on the ground floor and they run restaurant on the 2nd floor of the building. Their menu have various foods. Not only meat but also seafoods and deep fried foods. We can have deep fried oysters (kakifurai) and fried oysters with butter in winter. Lunch hour is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Many office workers visit there at lunchtime, so they are so busy throughout lunchtime.
Beef cutlet set (牛かつ定食, 1200 yen) is the most popular set. The lean met of beef go with the strong sauce. And the Napolitan on the dish is good, too. They serve much rice. If you can’t eat much, you’d better order “small rice”.
