Speaking of visiting Taiwan, watermelon juice is MUST for me. I dropped in at King of Watermelon (西瓜大王) on my way to the night market and bought watermelon juice. King of Watermelon ! Great name ! The shop is like working house. I ordered at the refrigerator like the man in the photo. And then I got my drink and paid. Umm. The section of watermelon is too much of temptation. I couldn’t help stopping at the shop🍉
Though watermelon is summer fruits in Japan, Taiwan have it all year around. But of course, summer is the best season.
Though their name is “King of Watermelon”, they also have papaya (木瓜), pineapple (鳳梨), tomato (番茄), guava (芭樂), orange (柳橙), apple (頻果), banana (香蕉) and so on. Everything is fresh. I heard they have mango in summer. 切盤 is cut fruits, and another is drinks.
They have some watermelon juice. 100% watermelon, watermelon and milk, watermelon and pineapple, watermelon and apple and so on.
Of course, I bought watermelon juice. Watermelon juice. The staff cut watermelon and put them into the blender. It’s 100% fresh watermelon juice. It’s under 2 USD ! Unbelievable. I drunk up watermelon juice like water. Many shops make juice without ice, but they put ice into the bottle. Because of it was winter, it was washy a bit and it wasn’t too sweet. To put it better, it had refreshing tastes. I felt so at Shilin night market, too. So, it’s because of cold season. Watermelon is summer fruits all the same.
There’re tables and chairs outside. So, we can have juice and cut fruits at there if you don’t care about exhaust gas. I just took this photo and walked to the market with it.
