Moved – [Tsukiji Market] Shells set at Tonkatsu Yachiyo (とんかつ八千代)

Tokyo

I went to Tsukiji Market to eat Shell set that is one of the dishes I had wanted to eat at Tonkatsu Yachiyo (とんかつ八千代) for a long time. It was 7 a.m., and it’s still dark.

I found shell set (シェル) on the menu. Of course, I ordered it. Shell set’s official name is Oyster, shell ligaments and scallop set.

At first, rice, miso soup and pickles were served.

Deep fried scallop, arch shell ligaments cream croquette and three deep fried oysters. Shell set have deep fried oysters, so it is served only in winter season

Oyster, shell ligaments, scallop set (カキ・小柱・ホタテ フライ定食) 1700 yen

In comparison to oysters eaten this season, those oysters were smaller. Especially, I had eaten so big oysters at Odayasu before that. But he scallop was tasty. And croquette, too.

And this is my friend’s A set. A set is nutritious and valuable set. It have deep fried horse mackerel and scallop.

A set (A定食) 1000 yen

And boiled hijiki, laver, carrots and squid in soy sauce. It went with rice very well. As a whole, every deep fried foods were fried so deeply that day. So crisp. I like rare one.

After we got out of Yachiyo, we had a coffee at Four season (フォーシーズン) as usual. It’s separated from the crowds of Tsukiji.
