Moved – [Tsukiji Market] Wonton noodles at Yajima (やじ満)

Tokyo

It was very hard for me to get into Yajima (やじ満) because they are always packed with elder men who works in the market. But I’m entirely accustomed to this atmosphere. I had eaten seasonal ramen like asari clam ramen and oysters ramen only at Yajima. But that day, I felt like eating simple ramen.

Appearance, Yajima (Tsukiji Market)

As soon as I was seated, I said to the staff, One wonton noodles with salted soup ! I saw people in the shop while waiting my ramen. All except me seemed to be people who work in the market or drunk until the morning. But I don’t mind any more !

My ramen was served in five minutes with such a transparent soup. The ingredients were wonton, green onions, bamboo shoot (menma) and roast pork. Though it was seasoned very light, it was tasty.

The noodles were narrow. It was really light ramen and it was easy for me to eat the ramen in the morning.

Smooth wonton. Its texture was fun !

As a whole, Yajima’s ramen is mild, not fatty and not have too much salt. So, it’s good for people who drunk until the morning 😛 But be careful when you go to there after drunk. Shops in Tsukiji Market don’t allow people who get heavy drunk enter their shop. When you go to there, you should make yourself sober.
