I rarely go to Shibuya because I hate crowds. But I had something to do at Shibuya, so I had solo dinner at Yamashita Honki Udon (山下本気うどん).There’re some branches in Shibuya. I visited Shibuya Center-gai branch this time. This branch is the closest to Shibuya station. They are open for 24 hours.
They are on the 2F of the building having panda.
They have counter seats and some tables.
Speaking of Yamashita Honki Udon, those cream cheese udon is very popular. I visited there to eat them, too. By the way, I knew the price got very higher just after I visited. So, please estimate plus 300 yen each. They have English menu, too.
Of course, they have normal udon. Actually, many people ate normal udon like kake udon. I agreed. Their udon is simply good.
They offer happy hour from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Draft beer in glass is 300 yen.
So… I ordered it. White mentai cheese cream udon because I love both cheese and mentaiko. The right pot have soup stock.
Udon can’t be seen because there’s a mountain of cheese cream :p
Wow. Udon dressed with mentaiko and green onion appeared. At first, I ate it without cream. It’s delicious. The noodle itself was good. It had springy texture. And it’s rather narrow. I was sure that it’s good to eat as kake udon and kamatama udon. And then I ate it with cheese cream. The cheese cream wasn’t sweet at all, and it’s not heavy. It added udon rich texture. It had black pepper on it. It’s spicy just a bit.
Last, I put soup stock into the bowl and mixed altogether. Though its looking is not good, but it can’t be helped :p Mentaiko, chheese cream, udon, and soup stock. everything merged.I’m satisfied !
